FUMER sends a group of Volunteers to God’s Country Community Ministries (GCCM) in Newberry, located in Michigan’s eastern Upper Peninsula. FUMER has sent teams to this location since 2015.
The Dunlap Ministry Center provides on-site living arrangements for the group. Partnering with Ministry Center Staff and local volunteers, they work together, worship together and share God’s love with those they encounter. They perform a variety of tasks depending upon the needs of GCCM clientele during their stay. Home repairs and accessibility projects such as ramps and porches are common tasks.
All skillsets are needed and they welcome new people to be part of the team. If you can’t serve for the entire week, partial week volunteers are invited to participate.
